What is the FMT Core Drill?

FMT Core Drill is a hydraulic core drilling rig built for exploration drilling. It is available in three models: FMT CD 400, FMT CD 800 and FMT CD 1000.

Which core sizes are available?

The core drill is available in BQ, NQ, HQ and PQ sizes. PQ is available on the FMT CD 800 and FMT CD 1000. See the specification table for the capacity of each model.

What optional functions can I add?

You can add an Auto SPT function, Auto SPT with digital count, and an extended mast to remove a 6 m rod line. A rod catcher with 4 cylinders is also available.

What is the feed stroke?

The FMT CD 400 has a 3 metre feed stroke. The FMT CD 800 and FMT CD 1000 have a 3.2 metre feed stroke.

Which model should I choose for my depth?

It depends on the core size and the depth you need to drill. Check the capacity table, or share your requirement with our team and we will help you pick the right model.

Which engine and mud pump are used?

The FMT CD 400 runs on a 110 HP engine with a BW 100 mud pump. The FMT CD 800 uses a 130-150 HP engine with a BW 160 pump, and the FMT CD 1000 uses a 155-170 HP engine with a BW 180 pump.
